Aldon Smith Takes a Leave of Absence From the NFL

But we’ll always think fondly of the time he helped us choose girls for our sack.

Aldon Smith, who was arrested Friday for DUI and possession of marijuana, after a car accident, announced after yesterday’s jarring loss to the Colts that he will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team to get treatment. It’s an important move for a player who has had small brushes with trouble before (this is also his second DUI), and could face further disciplinary action from the NFL or the 49ers.

The struggling Niners don’t have many pass-rushing replacements in place, but Cory Lemonier, the rookie from Auburn and San Fran’s third-round pick will likely see some game action.

We wish Aldon luck and will always remember the good times, when he helped us choose which beautiful girls would go into our sack:,AAABnwxt8sE~,TdyFq09iMr7kioKT_wX2C8w8xLyk5_f2&bctid=2207583276001
