Woody Allen’s Annie Hall is one of the most iconic romantic comedies of all time, but is it really the funniest movie ever written?
According to the Writers Guild of America — yes, yes it is.
The WGA selected Allen’s and Marshall Brickman’s script as the funniest among 101 screenplays this week and made the announcement after a panel discussion hosted by Rob Reiner. It prevailed over arguably much funnier films like Groundhog Day, The Big Lebowski,Anchorman and Bridesmaids.
