Bacardi Old Cuban
Today’s buzz is tangy, fresh, and a bit fancy.
This delicious rum cocktail was served at the 2014 James Beard Awards, which is as good a reason as any as far as we’re concerned.
It’s the Bacardi Old Cuban.
Bacardi Old Cuban
Ingredients:
1 3/5 parts Bacardi 8Años
2 dashes of bitters
3/5 parts fresh lime juice
1 part simple syrup
6 whole mint leaves
2 2/5 parts champagne
Directions:
Muddle lime juice, syrup, and mint in a mixing glass. Add rum, bitters, and ice, and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass, and top with champagne.
