Sad news for all those who tune into SNL to get their nightlife recommendations: the show will be losing its flamboyant city correspondent Stefon when Bill Hader makes his exit after next week’s finale. Yes, this morning the eight-year SNL veteran made the announcement that he would be leaving the show, a decision partly motivated by seeing the success his former colleagues Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig have had with their other projects (to which we have to point out, but Bill, look how much fun Kristen had when she returned to host last week!).

So tune in next Saturday to say goodbye to your favorite incarnations of James Carville, Al Pacino, and a slew of weird game show hosts – and hopefully get one final recommendation for a party where the atmosphere is something akin to “visions a dying gay man would have if he was under too many blankets.” And in the meantime, here are some of Stefon’s best moments.
