That Scarlett Johansson ‘Black Widow’ Movie Is Totally Going To Happen

Marvel says it’s ‘most committed’ to making the ScarJo spin-off.

Rumors of a standalone Black Widow movie starring Scarlett Johansson have been floating around the Marvel Universe for some time now. And Marvel’s Kevin Feige said in a recent Deadline interview that Marvel Studios is “most committed” to making Black Widow happen, without actually committing to making it happen.

On the heels of a huge opening for Captain America: Civil War, Deadline asked Feige about his future plans for Marvel spinoffs. Here’s how it went down:

I don’t know about you, but I’m growing a little bit impatient with Feige’s hedging around actually making a Black Widow movie official. I wonder if Johansson feels the same way. If so, I think she should give him an ultimatum: Put Black Widow on the slate for 2020, or do it without her (which of course, he’s be a fool to do.)
