Bruce Springsteen Will Release an Enormous Box Set of The River Sessions

The Ties That Bind: The River Collection  includes previously unreleased songs and a new documentary. 

Bruce Springsteen is one of those timeless, beloved artists who we just can’t seem to get enough of. Thankfully, he’s so prolific that there is an endless fountain of material to obsess over, with little worry of the Bruce well running dry. 

On Friday it was announced that on December 4, Columbia is releasing a brand new box set that’s a must-have for die-hard fans — or people looking for a thorough introduction to his music and general vibe. The Ties That Bind: The River Collection will include four CDs, plus three DVDs of previously unreleased stuff (52 songs!): his 1980 album,The River, eleven previously unreleased outtakes from The River session, concert footage, a new documentary about The River called “The Ties That Bind,” and a coffee table book of 200 rare or previously unseen photos.
