‘Challengers’ Trailer: It’s Game, Set, Match For Zendaya In Tennis Love Triangle Movie

Zendaya turns up the heat in the latest trailer for Luca Guadagnino’s “Challengers.”

Zendaya is set to serve up a sultry cinematic Grand Slam in a new trailer for the tennis-themed love triangle movie Challengers, directed by Call Me By Your Name helmer Luca Guadagnino.

The Dune and Euphoria actress stars as Tashi Duncan, a magnetic former tennis prodigy-turned-coach who makes no apologies for her game—on and off the court.

Married to Art (Mike Faist), a tennis champion on a losing streak, Tashi’s strategy for his redemption takes a tense turn when he faces off with washed-up Patrick (Josh O’Connor)—his former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend.

The trailer follows the origin of the threesome’s complicated relationship, with Art and Patrick both asking Tashi to become their coach after her knee injury puts her on the sidelines. Judging from the clip, things only get more awkward from there.

“He’s not in love with you,” Art says at one point, to which Tashi replies, “What makes you think I want someone to be in love with me?”

After Art declares that he does love her, she fires back, “I know.”

Before the April release of Challengers, Zendaya stars in the even more highly-anticipated Dune: Part Two, which hits theaters on March 1.

Dune: Part Two co-stars a stacked cast that includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux.

But until then, Zendaya fans can catch Challengers when it opens in theaters on April 24. Watch the film’s second trailer above.
