The Chanukah Song Turns Twenty

Break out the Manischewitz, because here’s every Jew, non-Jew, and possible Jews name-dropped by Adam Sandler.

Twenty years ago this holiday season, Adam Sandler rocked both the Semitic and gentile worlds when he performed “The Chanukah Song” on Saturday Night Live. Since then, he’s released revised editions, name-dropping even more Jewish people, non-Jewish people, Jewish objects, fictional Jews, and O.J. Simpson. Maxim looks back at the legacy of the song in the most OCD of ways – by presenting a few lists of all the Jews, Vulcans, Deli’s, and Willie Nelson band members name-checked by Sandler.
