Check Out the Slick First Poster For the Female-Dominated ‘Ocean’s 8’

Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna lead the gang of bad girls.

Sandra Bullock wants it clear to everyone: Ocean’s 8 is not just a gender-flipped version of Ocean’s 11. It’s definitely its own thing.

“We’re not a reboot,” she said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “We’re just a this is what’s happening in 2017. It’s not even a passing of the torch. It’s a parallel story of another family member that was raised in the same family Danny Ocean was and what happens when Debbie steps out of jail with all of these amazing, powerful women.”

The amazing women in question comprise a killer all-star cast: Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and Sarah Paulson. 

Even the guest star list is impressive, with appearances from Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Anna Wintour, and Adriana Lima.

The synopsis lets you know 8 has the same DNA as Ocean’s 11. It’s about “Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie,” who “attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala.”

But first, of course, she has to put together “the perfect crew.”

We’ll see how the crew pulls off their heist when Ocean’s 8 hits theaters on June 8, 2018.
