China’s ‘Great Wall’ Could Dominate Heavyweight Boxing

Taishan Dong may be literally unbeatable.

Taishan Dong is a former kickboxer who looks just about ready to make heavyweight boxing exciting again. The seven-foot-tall Chinese national has come over to the United States and is now training with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions. Dong’s only had two fights so far, but both of them have ended with knockouts. At the age of 20, he still has time to learn the skills that might make up for a big man’s lack of quickness, but considering his martial arts background, he might already have a leg up in that category. If boxing doesn’t work out, can we get him on a basketball court?
