Listen to Coldplay and Beyoncé Team Up on ‘Hymn for the Weekend’

The third single from Coldplay’s upcoming album packs a diva-sized punch.

Coldplay’s seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, is coming out this Friday and they’ve done everything they can to hype it. The end of November brought the premiere of the second single off of the new album, “Everglow” which features backing vocals by frontman Chris Martin’s consciously uncoupled ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow. Now, we can rejoice in a third single, “Hymn For the Weekend” — a collaboration with the queen bee herself, Beyoncé — that premiered on  Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. The song is being referred to as a duet by several sites, but since Bey can primarily only be heard in the background, with no main verse of her own, she’s mainly subliminal. But like sea salt in a cookie, you only need a little bit to get the full flavor experience.
