College and Pro Games of the Week Feb 24

Four more weeks til baseball.

College: BYU at San Diego State

When: Saturday, February 26, 2:00pm ET

It’s not often the sports world can get excited about a rematch involving BYU and San Diego State. But that’s the state of college basketball now that every All-Star goes to the NBA before cracking open one biology book. So now, college basketball has guys like Jimmer Fredette to root for. For those of you who don’t know, he’s basically the quiet kid in Hoosiers. And while college basketball kind of sucks now, his name is Jimmer. So there’s that.

Who’s Going To Win: Jimmer!

Pro: New York Knicks at Miami Heat

When: Sunday, February 27, 8:00pm ET

You know the Knicks got Melo. And you should definitely know that the Heat got Bron Bron and Bosh. In the new world of the NBA, every team has multiple All-Stars and no one plays any defense. Somehow the 2010 Eastern Conference has become the Western Conference of the 1980s. So what does this mean? I guess it means games will be high scoring and there will be reverse alley-oop jams on every other play.

Who Will Win: Heat 180-150. The Heat’s three scorers will outscore the Knicks two.
