College:The NCAA Men’s Hockey Championship

Saturday 7:00PM EST, ESPN

Who Will Win and Why: The winners of the “frozen four” (yes, that is a thing that exists), Notre Dame vs. Minnesota-Duluth, and Michigan vs. North Dakota will battle for supremacy in the third most irrelevant collegesport in the nation! (Men’s college hockey is right above men’s volleyball and lady-boy’s steeplechase.)

You would need the Large Hadron Collider to measure just how little we care about this. Shoot that sucker right into our bodies and you might discover a heretofore-unknown particle: “The Boringtron.” Sigh. Fine. We say…North Dakota will win? We guess? Hey, let’s give the state something to be proud about other than its 2010 record exports of crushing misery.

Pro: New York Vs. Boston

Sunday, 8:00PM EST, FOX

Who Will Win and Why: Boston fans should thank the baseball Gods (Babe Ruth and probably some other dead white guy) that the closing game of the epic rivals’ first three-game series is in Bean Town. Yankees slugger Mark Teixeira is avoiding his usual early slump and has already blasted four homeruns in just three games, one more than the whole Sox team…who are 0-3. So look for Boston to bounce back against America’s most hated team (yet most popular hat supplier!) with a crucial early season win on Sunday.

If You Have to Watch One: In a surprising upset, The NCAA Men’s Hockey Championship! Just kidding, college hockey fan.
