Netflix has released the trailer to its slightly controversial sequel to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which will air on Netflix on the same day it appears in IMAX theaters. Non-IMAX theater chains, somewhat understandably, refused to carry a movie that was available on Netflix at the same time.
Woo-Ping Yuen, best known in the U.S. for his stunt direction on Kill Bill: Vol. 2, directs Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend, which brings back original Crouching Tiger star Michelle Yeoh. The trailer is mostly swords flying, people flying, and people flying while holding swords; presumably, swords of destiny. Also, there's a terrible cover of Bad Moon Risingsung by a murder robot. But don't take our word for it: See the trailer below and decide for yourself to skip this one when it opens on Feb. 26.
