The Daily Heat Index: Hayley Atwell Reacts to That ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Kiss

Plus: David Ortiz crushes some piñatas and James Corden does another ‘Carpool Karaoke.’

Peggy Carter Sounds Off
Hayley Atwell, better known in the MCU as Captain America‘s former beau Peggy Carter, graciously spent her time at a recent Dallas Comic Con despite (SPOILER ALERT) being killed off on the big screen and cancelled on the small one from ABC’s Agent Carter.

While there, the 34-year old gave her two cents on Steve Rodgers’ recent lip lock with her great niece, Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp). “I just feel that, you know—I wouldn’t want to date my great aunt’s guy,” Atwell said. “It just feels like it crosses an incestuous boundary. And Peggy just died. That’s even more disrespectful, right? It’s like, “don’t touch that.” You can’t tap that!” Girl code must be negated when you’re six feet under.

Ortiz v. Some Piñatas
Big Papi is on his way out of the MLB, and in a new JetBlue commercial, the Boston Red Sox DH goes to work on a few innocent candy-stuffed piñatas as part of his future retirement plan. David, you’re hired.

Carpool Karaoke: Broadway Edition
Ahead of his hosting gig for this year’s Tony Awards, Late Late Show host James Corden nabs a few Broadway stars, including Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jane Krakowski, for a little synchronized singing through the streets of Manhattan. Watch above and see if their ride ends on a high note.
