Dairy King: White Sox To Sell Super-Sized 3-Pound Sundae

Forget everything you know about the national pastime, national obesity rates, or, well, national pride.

The Chicago White Sox have just announced plans to sell sundaes featuring 12 scoops of ice cream topped with caramel, fudge, strawberry syrup, whipped cream, and two bananas, all served in a full-sized battling helmet (God, we hope it’s game-worn). The sundaes will be available during games at U.S. Cellular Field throughout the 2014 baseball season.

The three-pound, $17 angina-inducer contains between 4,000 and 5,000 calories, and is supposedly meant to feed an entire family – but have you been to Chicago? “Family” is what they call their guts.

That said, The Windy City will have competition when it comes to aggressive concessions at sporting events, considering The Rangers are currently offering a pizza burger (comes complete with Ryan Nolan beef!), and let’s not forget the Diamondbacks’ 18-inch corn dog.

Actually…we did just forget it, thanks to the diabetic stroke we’re currently having.
