‘Deadpool 2’ Is Officially Happening
Las Vegas CinemaCon promises plenty more coming our way from Marvel.
In a move that isn’t surprising in the slightest, Fox’s runaway anti-superhero hit Deadpool has officially been given a sequel.
The studio announced at Las Vegas CinemaCon that Deadpool 2 is currently in development, with director Tim Miller, screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and star Ryan Reynolds all returning for another blood-soaked go at The Merc with the Mouth. There’s been no news regarding the rest of the cast, but we do know that Reynolds will be joined by futuristic gunslinger Nathan Summers, better known to X-Men fans as Cable.
With two untitled Fox/Marvel films slated for release within the next two years (one for October 6th, 2017 and another for January 12th, 2018), our money is on one of those slots belonging to the Deadpool sequel.
