That’s not just what Don Cheadle as jazz icon Miles Davis growls in the new trailer for Miles Ahead, it’s a sentiment that embodies the passion project Cheadle stars in, directs, co-wrote and tirelessly raised money to get made.
Unlike the typical cradle-to-grave Hollywood biopic, Miles Ahead instead focuses on the irascible trumpeter circa 1979 (that’s nearly a decade after he released the classic double album Bitches Brew, folks).
