After Getting Dumped on National TV, This Reality Cutie Is the Next ‘Bachelorette’

After some turbulent drama—we’ll catch you up in a sec—and a super shitty breakup on The Bachelor, we just found out who the next Bachelorette is on the reality show’s season finale: the super-cute Becca Kufrin!
Is anyone actually surprised, though? After getting dumped on national television, it’s only natural that she was picked.

“Words can’t express everything I’m feeling tonight, but I’m so beyond grateful for the love, support and well-wishes,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m beyond excited for this next chapter of my journey and to have shared the start of that all with you tonight. Now we’re doing the damn thing.”

In case you didn’t keep up with the sloppy drama of The Bachelor, here’s a condensed version of what happened: Becca technically won Season 22 of the show when lame and fickle Bachelor (and race car driver) Arie Luyendyk asked her to marry him…
…but then he was like “Nah, changed my mind” and decided he was more into another contestant, Lauren Burnham, so he dumped Becca for the other chick and put a ring on her finger.
Sucks, right? Getting dumped on TV sucks, and so does Arie. What a little bitch. That is a serious dick move.
In fact, fans of the show are super pissed about how much of a dickhead Arie is and wanted to cheer up the heartbroken Becca, so they started sending her thousands of dollars in “wine money” so she could drink lots and lots of wine to soothe her wounds.
But instead of actually using the money to buy wine, she announced that she’s going to donate the money to Stand Up to Cancer. What a gem!
“I don’t even know what to think,” she said on the season finale of The Bachelor. “I love my wine don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think I can drink that much. I don’t know.”
Anyway, hopefully Becca finds what she’s looking for on The Bachelorette.
