Watch the First Trailer for ‘Bodied’, Eminem’s Brutal New Battle Rap Flick

This makes ‘8 Mile’ look like a Disney movie.

Now that he’s sporting some scruff, it seems like anything is possible from Eminem. Case in point: Slim Shady has produced a battle rap film called Bodied, which will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

For real. It has a trailer now and everything (see above).

TIFF describes Bodied as a “satirical exploration of the world’s most artistically brutal sport—battle rapping.” 

Brutal is putting it mildly. The bulk of the trailer is a verbal showdown between “Megaton” and “MC Goggles,” a scrawny bespectacled white kid who thought he stood a chance against the real deal.

“You little squirmy Reddit blogger, another Eminem impostor,” Megaton immediately digs in. “If Harry Potter had sex with Jeffrey Dahmer, you would be their lesbian daughter.” 

That’s gotta hurt, kid. It’s as rough as that final showdown from 8 Mile.

The film is directed by Joseph Kahn, a music video director who’s worked with Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, U2 and, of course, Eminem. The screenplay comes from rapper Alex Larsen, a.k.a. “Kid Twist.”
