Ex-Victoria’s Secret Models Pose For ‘Trashy’ Magazine Cover
From plush toy bodysuits to Angel wings made of garbage bags, recycled materials are transformed by Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Lais Ribeiro and more.
One man’s trash is definitely a treasure when it’s used to make a fashion statement by some of the world’s biggest supermodels.
Former Victoria’s Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Stella Maxwell, Sara Sampaio, Martha Hunt, Elsa Hosk, Lily Aldridge, Lais Ribeiro and Leomie Anderson reunited for a new lingerie shoot for More or Less magazine’s “Earth Angels” shoot.
But instead of lacy bras and thongs, the beauties donned “faux-fashion label Kezako’s upcycled underwear made from aluminum wrap, dried-out loaves of bread, old newspapers, cuddly toys and then some,” per the mag’s IG post.
As the New York Post points out, Swanepoel even harked to her VS Angel days with wings made from trash bags and tape, along with a sexy repurposed leather bodysuit. Ambrosio brought a more playful look with a “Frankentoys” piece made from plush toys purchased on eBay.
While More or Less recruited some serious talent for the star-studded cover, the ethos behind it is meant to be fun and playful. “The most disruptive thing in fashion right now is humor,” More or Less founder Jaime Perlman told The Post.
“And we always try to inject some into serious subjects. Sometimes fashion can take itself a bit too seriously. I think there is a hesitancy for people to go more eco because it’s a heavy subject and will scare people off.”
