Nicolas Cage is getting medieval, and Hellboy is riding with him!

In the upcoming supernatural period action film Season of the Witch (opening January 7), everyone’s favorite nutcase Nicolas Cage plays a Crusade knight who is tasked by a Cardinal with escorting a witch believed to be Ground Zero for the Black Plague to a remote abbey where she can stand trial (whew). He is joined in the mission by his rough and tumble wingman Ron Perlman because, well, wouldn’t you want to be?


In this exclusive first look, Cage’s Behman and Perlman’s Felson return from the East to discover a deserted Europe under the pall of the Plague.

Season of the Witch opens everywhere January 7, 2011.
