Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Remade With Retro Graphics Is Amazing

Technically, it’s a montage of Earthbound edits, but why quibble?

How many times have you seen Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Never mind. You’ve probably never seen it like this before. CineFix has created an incredibly adorable rendition of the movie using only 16-bit graphics. But not just any 16-bit graphics, either– these are elements from the popular role-playing game Earthbound, or Mother 2, for the Super Nintendo. So their series title, “8 Bit Cinema,” isn’t quite accurate, but you know. Semantics.

It’s still a very awesome project that pays homage to one our favorite ’80s flicks, and worth a watch–whether you’re a sporto, a motorhead, geek, slut, blood, wastoid, dweebie or dickhead.
