After years as a slightly-under-the-mainstream-radar rapper, guesting with fellow rappers like Lil Wayne, Kanye and Ludacris, 2 Chainz has finally stepped out into the spotlight this year, with his first studio album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, debuting at number one last August. Not content to rest on his laurels, now the rapper is set to save the world, or at least bring it a little color. “Live in Color” — an 8-bit collaboration with Adidas and Champs Sports — sees 2 Chainz as a throwback, vigilante baller, dunking, battling the paparazzi, hopping over obstacles, and generally acting like a boss as he returns a black-and-white world to full technicolor. It’s pretty fucking great, although we doubt it would be so family friendly if Chainz still went by his old moniker: Tity Boi.
