Watch Gillian Jacobs Get High in the ‘Love’ Trailer

Judd Apatow’s latest is coming to Netflix next month.

Because we don’t have enough shows about angst-ridden white people navigating love and life in a coastal U.S. city, Judd Apatow’s Love will explore the romance between quirky, attractive white woman Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) and neurotic, markedly less attractive white man Gus (Paul Rust).

Requisite cynicism notwithstanding, Love looks like it might be challenging one tired TV trope: In the trailer, Mickey looks as though she might be struggling financially, despite having a job as a production manager at a radio station. (Or maybe she just forgot her wallet at home.) But we’re hopeful that, like HBO’s Togetherness, Love is realistic about what it really looks to be an actually struggling creative person in Los Angeles. And we’re also hopeful about what looks like some decently funny dialogue.
