The Knicks are a very bad team. This is known. The Spurs, a little older this year but still a powerful team with championship aspirations, are a good team. This is also known. So how did the Spurs end up losing a game to the Knicks last night? By not respecting the game of basketball, according to their coach, Gregg Popovich. Pop rarely minces words, so his admission to the media (which he hates) that the Spurs better get their butts in gear is a pretty clear sign of distress from a defending champion that might finally be on their last legs. Until, of course, they shock us all and crush everyone on the way to another title.
