‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ Could Feature a Female Lead and a Return to Vice City

This sounds awesome.

For the first time in its 20-year history, the next Grand Theft Auto game will focus on a female character’s crime-fueled journey in a return to Vice City. 

A 2002 installment of the same name was also set in Rockstar Games’ Scarface-esque interpretation of the Miami area. However, rumor has it that players will fly to South America for some missions in the next game. Can you say cocaine cowgirls? 

The leaked information is tentative and stems from one source tech that spoke to entertainment vlog The Know.

All of this is according to The Know citing an “inside source”, which claims GTA 6 is referred to internally at Rockstar as Project Americas.

The Know’s history with rumors and leaks is patchy, although it correctly revealed details of Dark Souls 3 before official confirmation. 

Sadly, GTA VI is probably a long way out—many are saying that 2022 is the earliest one could hope for. 

If the rumors ring true, it might just be worth the wait.
