Guns N’ Roses Might Be Working On Brand New Songs
This could be big, people.
Guns N’ Roses is rumored to be recording new songs to play during their ballyhooed upcoming concert tour.
Classic Rock reports that Slash’s former publicist Arlett Vereecke says that the guitarist has been working on new Guns N’ Roses tunes in the studio.
Former GNR manager Alan Niven also said that bassist Duff McKagan and guitarist Izzy Stradlin played on “at least a couple of tracks” in the studio last December.
“I know they’re doing some recording,” Vereecke said. “They’re definitely doing something there in the studio. Axl hasn’t been there, but Slash is definitely in there and it’s not for anyone else.”
When Billboard first reported the Guns N’ Roses reunion dates back in January 2015, only O.G. members Rose, Slash and McKagan were scheduled to perform. But now it looks as if Stradlin might be joining them, if these latest rumors are true.
GNR has so far confirmed six concerts in April 2016: two in Las Vegas, two at Coachella and two in Mexico City. The revered rock outfit, which hasn’t released any new music since 2008’s Chinese Democracy, is expected to announce a bigger tour after that.
