The Chainsmokers Just Dropped the Sexiest Video of Year with ‘Closer’
Halsey is as hot as the song’s lyrics are inane.
The Chainsmokers’ first Number One single, “Closer,” has an appropriately fiery new video to match, showing member Drew Taggart getting pretty dang close to featured singer Halsey.
Although they together sing “Baby pull me closer in the backseat of your Rover that I know you can’t afford,” the two actually get hot and heavy in a bed, rather than in a leased car. Incongruities aside, Halsey gives it her all, mounting Taggart in some shots and then looking melancholic in others.
