Watch Chris Pine Outrun the Law in ‘Hell or High Water’ Trailer

Also: Jeff Bridges as a small-town sheriff.

We’ve got your Hell or High Water trailer, a thriller about a pair of small-town Texas bank robber brothers played by Chris Pine and Ben Foster. But they aren’t your everyday cold-blooded criminals: The brothers are trying to raise money so the bank doesn’t foreclose on their sick (maybe already dead?) mother’s farm. The same bank they hold up at gunpoint. But they don’t stop there.

This movie already looked pretty good even before we knew that Jeff Bridges co-stars as a sheriff who might actually kind of be on their side, from the looks of the trailer. And we can understand why — who can argue with watching Chris Pine stick it to the man?

Written by Sicario scribe Tyler Sheridan and directed by David Mackenzie (Starred Up), Hell or High Water will premiere at Cannes next week but already has a distributor in CBS Films. We reckon it will have a U.S. release date before long.
