The penultimate Saturday Night Live of the venerable sketch comedy show's 2015-2016 season featured actor and rapper Drake as both host and musical guest. Drake's acting background made him a more versatile and entertaining host than many musicians who do double duty on SNL.
One of the funnier sketches showcased regular cast member Bobby Moynihan's John Belushi-like skills as a physical comedian. In a send-up of American Ninja Warrior, Moynihan played an earnest guy from a small Texas town devastated by a tornado who really just wanted to help out his friends and neighbors — and he did not succeed.
Other sketches made it clear that Drake has a good sense of humor about himself, the most telling being his opening monologue in which he insisted he is "More Than a Meme."
The SNL season finale airs May 21st and will be hosted by longtime cast member Fred Armisen.
