How To Waterski When You Don’t Have a Boat and Do Have a Plane

Hint: Buy a parachute.

Traditional waterskiing involves being towed across a pond by a motorboat; what we’re calling Pond Swooping involves jumping out of an airplane, activating a parachute and gliding across the surface of a pond feet-first. It looks pretty magnificent, though we imagine the learning curve versus traditional waterskiing is pretty steep and the consequences much, much higher. Still, if you have the space, the plane, and the guts, Pond Swooping looks like an acrobatic, gravity driven alternative to anyone who thinks old-fashioned waterskiing is boring.
