Watch This Mash-Up and Then Try and Tell Us Idris Elba Isn’t the Perfect James Bond

There’s been plenty of chatter about Idris Elba being cast as the next James Bond for a while — the public loves the idea; Bond author Anthony Horowitz made a foot-in-mouth comment about how he thinks Elba is “too street” to pull off the role (he later apologized); Elba, being Elba, elegantly shut down that criticism. 

Regardless of what you think about the potential casting, this video from Vulture, which mashes up scenes from Luther, The Gunman, Takers, and an ad for Jaguar with the Spectre trailer makes a very strong case that Elba would make an excellent Bond. Is there anyone else who manages to be incredibly suave and incredibly badass at the same time quite like Elba? We think not.
