Hold onto your hair gel — the Jersey Shore gang is returning to TV.
The MTV reality show following the guido-tastic party posse that brought us such bro-tastic acronyms as "GTL" (gym, tan, laundry) and "DTF" (down to fuck, natch) was spotted with camera crews in Point Pleasant Beach and Asbury Park in recent weeks to shoot a Jersey Shore reunion, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Toby Wolf, the director of marketing for Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, told the Asbury Park Press that the cast, which includes Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley, had a "low-key dinner" at Jenkinson's Pavilion Restaurant and played games on the boardwalk after they filmed on June 16.
Cast members from the MTV show shared their excitement about the reunion over social media. Female cast member Deena Nicole Cortese tweeted a photo of her with fellow "Jersey Shore" cast members Polizzi, Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola at the STK steakhouse in New York City a few weeks after filming.
Jersey Shore ran from 2009 to 2012 on MTV and was the channel's most popular show ever. However, an MTV spokesperson contacted by the Asbury Park Press says the reunion is not part of a project with the network. So who knows what the hell is going on.
Whatever it is, there's a ton of photos on Instagram courtesy of Snooki, Sammi Sweetheart, J Woww and Deena hanging together. Here's how everyone is looking these days:
And don't think Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino — who's facing jail time for tax evasion — didn't get in on the act, even if he wasn't invited to the girls' photo shoot.
Even DJ Pauly D took an opportunity to share a pic of the crew with NJ Gov. Chris Christie after his viral beach pics.
Let's make this happen, people.
