Even at the relatively ripe old age of 47, Johnny Knoxville is happy to ruin his body for our amusement in the trailer for Action Point.
The forthcoming movie features actual Jackass-style stunts set in a dangerously dilapidated theme park. See the official synopsis from Paramount Pictures below:
Knoxville stars as D.C., the crackpot owner of a low-rent, out-of-control amusement park where the rides are designed with minimum safety for maximum fun.
Just as D.C.’s estranged teenage daughter Boogie comes to visit, a corporate mega-park opens nearby and jeopardizes the future of Action Point.
To save his beloved theme park and his relationship with his daughter, D.C. and his loony crew of misfits risk everything to pull out all the stops – and stunts – making for another wild ride from the star of BAD GRANDPA and JACKASS.
The title seems to be a nod to Action Park, an infamously lethal New Jersey amusement park that claimed the lives of more than a few patrons throughout the 1980s.
The barely-functioning attractions at Action Point look significantly more hazardous, but Knoxville is a damn professional.
Jackass alum Chris Pontius also makes an appearance. Here he is getting his nuts chomped by a squirrel.
Jump on Knoxville's wild ride when Action Point hits theaters June 1.
