‘100 Cheeks’ Photo Book Celebrates Beautiful Butts
If you like denim-clad derrieres, you’re in luck.
A beautiful butt is more than just a cheeky ploy for Instagram likes—looking at you, Jen Selter—our backsides also reveal some pretty firm truths.
For New York-based photographer Kava Gorna, the fades on women’s jeans show where they’ve been, and how they present their assets to the world embodies confidence and character.
“Every butt is beautiful,” Kava told us with a laugh. “Every girl has a very different personality, and their photos reflect that.”
Her playful, sunny photographs are a refreshing female perspective in our current ass-saturated climate.
“I asked the girls to wear jeans because I found that nearly every girl had a pair she loved, which made her butt look great and which were personalized through their wear over time,” Gorna writes in the foreword.
“Each girl I photographed had an unmistakable and unique sense of confidence when wearing theirs,” Gorna continued.
“They are made from a fabric that has a distinct way of forming to the body, and each tells a story through the way they are altered, worn out, and patched up.”
Forget saline implants and the social media genius of the Kardashian clan. These are butts in all their natural glory.
