Kendrick Lamar released a mysterious cinematic video called “God Is Gangsta” late last night that comes in at almost 8-minutes long. The video, the title of which does not correspond to any track off his most recent album, To Pimp A Butterfly, was directed by Jack Begert, produced by Psycho Studios, and features snippets from the track “U,” which is off of his latest LP.

Lamar recently received 11 Grammy nominations for his work on To Pimp A Butterfly and in a recent interview with NPR had this to say about his whirlwind of a year: “You can have the platinum album, but when you still feel like you haven’t quite found your place in the world — it kind of gives a crazy offset.”
