‘Lego Batman Movie’ Mocks Batman in the Newest Trailer

It’s Batman vs. Batman’s ego.

We got our first Lego Batman Movie trailer just last week, and now we already have a second. Will Arnett voices a depressed-sounding, narcissistic Batman at Wayne Manor still mourning the tragic loss of his parents. The trailer pokes fun at Batman’s self-seriousness as well as the absurd number of Batman movies we’ve already seen.

Chris McKay, who was the animation co-director on the original Lego Movie, is helming The Lego Batman — which is a spinoff, not a sequel — with The Lego Movie co-directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord serving as producers. Unsurprisingly, the animation looks fantastic. Additional voices by Ralph Fiennes, Mariah Carey, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, and Zach Galifianakis.

The Lego Batman opens February 10, 2017.
