Margot Robbie And Brad Pitt Get Wild In Decadent New ‘Babylon’ Trailer
The ensemble cast includes Tobey Maguire, Diego Calva, Flea and Olivia Wilde.
The second official trailer for Babylon is here, and the 1920s-era Hollywood epic from La La Land director Damien Chazelle spotlights Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, who play hard-partying movie actors in Hollywood’s Golden Age.
Consequence Film describes the upcoming movie as a “Great Gatsby-meets-Once Upon a Time in Hollywood tale of the movie business and its transition from silent films to talkies,” adding that Pitt’s and Robbie’s fictional characters are based on real-life movie stars.
The ensemble cast is led by Brad Pitt, whose movie star character Jack Conrad is based on the likes of John Gilbert, Clark Gable, and Douglas Fairbanks.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie plays an upstart actress named Nellie LaRoy, whose character is inspired by the original “It Girl” Clara Bow.
