Watch Matt Damon Go Monster Hunting in Epic ‘The Great Wall’ Trailer

Check out this jaw-dropping teaser for the biggest film ever shot in China.

With the full press of publicity on Jason Bourne this week, we’re sure you’re not overdosing on Matt Damon, right? Well good, because the trailer for his next blockbuster, The Great Wall, just dropped. And it’s epic. And scary as hell.

Damon is starring next in Zhang Yimou’s The Great Wall, which is set 1000 years in the past, and has Damon and a massive army defending the Great Wall of China from…something. Some kind of monster, or monsters, for sure. Like any good teaser, it doesn’t tell you quite what he’s up against.

It looks appropriately intense and action-packed for a move from the director behind House of Flying Daggers, Hero. and the incredible 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. It’s Yimou’s first English-language movie, and the biggest film production ever shot in China. So, we think it will deliver.

The Great Wall opens in 3-D, of course, on February 17, 2017. It also stars Jing Tian, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, Hanyu Zhang, and Eddie Peng.
