The first full-length trailer for Mayans M.C. introduces the renegade motorcycle gang’s newest prospect. 

Fresh out of state prison, EZ Reyes (JD Pardo) must do what ever sordid task is demanded of him to prove his loyalty to Marcus Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) and other members of the Mayans charter. 

How Reyes became a prospect is unclear, but a high school flashback shows his former identity as a “golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp.” 

It’s a far cry his present existence. The crime-riddled world he now occupies includes car chases, graveyard gunfights, and a suspicious underground tunnel system we can only assume is used to smuggle drugs—and what looks like a body—across the Mexico/California border.

His father, Felipe Reyes, also appears to deliver an ominous warning, the likes of which Sons of Anarchy fans will recognize. 

“It’s gonna twist you up, make you doubt everything that you trust You’re in this now, son. There’s no getting out.” 

We’ll find out just how deep Reyes goes when FX’s Mayans M.C. premieres September 4.
