Mick Batyske—better known simply as Mick—is an A-lister-approved DJ and serial investor. That occupational combo is definitely unique, if not unlikely, but it perfectly suits the veteran beatmaster in his role as the “unofficial DJ of Cannes” during the ongoing International Festival of Creativity, where brand chiefs, celebrities, athletes, influencers, and creators converge on the palm tree-studded Croisette.

If you’re on the ground at Cannes Lions, you’re likely to catch Mick behind the decks somewhere—he’s playing events for Meta, Forbes, Pinterest, the Trade Desk, and Motorola. His can’t-miss performance, though, is slated for Wednesday, June 24, when he’ll DJ the official Maxim watch party doubleheader—screening Switzerland vs. Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar—at Steak ‘n Shake.

To get attendees hyped for Cannes Lions, Mick has crafted a 29-track playlist spanning genres and generations, available to all on on Spotify. More recent releases include “Speed Demon,” the bouncy opener to Justin Bieber’s most recent album, Swag II. Madonna’s 2026 pulsating dance-pop track “Love Sensation” adds a dash of electronica and “good vibrations,” while “Dance No More” by Harry Styles and “On My Soul” by Bruno Mars lean into the trendy disco revival sound.

Old-school groove comes courtesy of Andrea True Connection’s endlessly sampled 1976 disco classic “More, More, More” and Paul Nice’s bass-forward remix of “Hey Ladies” by the Beastie Boys. The latter bridges the gap to other hip-hop tracks, including Jay-Z’s 1997 hit “Who You Wit,” as well as “Which One” and “Make Them Pay” by Drake.

“Cannes is an incredible week of vibes—music and entertainment are such a key part of a festival rooted in creativity,” Mick said of the playlist. “I wanted to create a musical vision for the moments that weren’t soundtracked: the pre-trip packing, the flight, the hot morning run, the late-night walk back to your Airbnb. This playlist is exactly that. See you in Cannes!”
