Rolling Stone notes that it wasn't Cyrus’s first time covering a Pink Floyd classic live: In September 2019, at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, the singer added the band’s “Comfortably Numb” (and Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog”) to her set.
The “Wish You Were Here” performance is the second straight week that SNL at Home enlisted an artist to play an acoustic cover of a rock classic. Last week, Coldplay’s Chris Martin covered Bob Dylan’s “Shelter From the Storm.”
