Milla Jovovich Goes Bad For Her Next Sci-Fi Flick
The ‘Resident Evil’ star plays a drug lord in ‘Future World.’
Maxim favorite Milla Jovovich has become something of a staple in the sci-fi movie genre. After essentially carrying the Resident Evil franchise for six films alongside her other action roles in The Fifth Element and Ultraviolet, Milla has has proved that she’s capable of improving just about any sci-fi vehicle she stars in. So why stray away from what you know?
After things come to a close with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the 40-year old actress will continue trolling around in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world, but don’t expect her to be your savior. According to Deadline, Milla will play opposite James Franco in indie movie Future World as a badass drug lord at the top of the food chain.
The film itself “follows a young boy of noble birth who embarks on a journey through the wasteland of this future world in order to find medicine for his dying mother.
“Armed with his faithful bodyguard and only a slim hope that this medicine actually exists, he must forge courageously on, facing danger and ultimately the Warlord of this world who has plans of his own as he takes control of a beautiful, life-like robot assassin.”
We’re fully prepared to see Milla show off her bad side for a change.
