This Is Proof That Jar Jar Binks Ruins Everything

Putting him in the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer is a beautiful nightmare.

As you know by now, today is “Star Wars” Day—a day to gather in nerdom to watch beautiful women doing their best Wookie impressions, and to gaze upon other beautiful women who actually starred in the movies.

It’s also a day for parodies, and this one, which features Jar Jar Binks in the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer is technically impressive—but it also reminds us just how hateable the “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” character really was.

J.J. Abrams agrees, telling Vanity Fair of the CGI monstrosity:“I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks’s bones in the desert there. I’m serious! Only three people will notice, but they’ll love it.”
