These are brutal.
When the lightweight bout between Paul Felder and Francisco Trinaldo at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night was stopped, the Octagon looked like a murder scene. Felder’s eye, opened by Trinaldo’s elbow in the second round, was bleeding like a stuck pig. Trinaldo knew it too, which is why he came out in the third and pounded that gash as often as he could.
Eventually, the bleeding was too much and the fight was stopped. The severity of Felder’s injury wasn’t truly revealed until Dana White put this on Instagram.

Gag. Felder got stitched up and will be fine, but that image of his opened up eye brow is going to be hard to shake. Undoubtedly, it’s on the list of the ugliest MMA injuries we’ve ever seen, even if it’s one the easiest to recover from.
