Neill Blomkamp is Confirmed to Direct the New Alien Movie
One of the grossest sci-fi movies of all time will be back—with our without severe indigestion.
Neill Blomkamp (the director of District 9 and the forthcoming Chappie) confirmed via Instagram that he’ll be directing the next Alien movie installment. Two months ago with the cryptic caption “Was working on this. Don’t think I am anymore. Love it though. #alien #xenomorph.” Now he’s officially back on board.

According to Variety, this will be a separate project from the Ridley Scott Prometheus sequel.
It’s not yet been confirmed if previous Alien cast members will be returning for Blomkamp’s film, or if we’ll be getting a 21st reboot of the infamous chestbursting scene.
