Why? Because his arguable career zenith—The Matrix trilogy—will be available on the streaming platform come the last month of summer. So he can watch the 1999 original and the two follow-ups, The Matrix: Reloaded and Revolutions, from the comforts of his Hollywood mega-mansion as many times as he pleases.
There is plenty of binging to be had for the rest of us. Cult favorites like Bad Santa, Cloud Atlas, Funny Games (US), Jackie Brown and Wild Wild West will similarly be made available in August. What’s more, Netflix will also premiere the first season of its reboot series Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.
This should help us all lick our wounds after Netflix heartlessly removes Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Seasons 1 to 4 of American Dad! from its streaming cache.
