“Everyone Will Pay” in the New Kill Your Friends Trailer

I’d kill my friends, too, if they were anything like these clowns.

Kill  Your Friends now has a second trailer, and we’re twice as excited as we were before. It’s a little punchier and goofier than the first, which is making us wonder how much the movie will lean towards dark and disturbing and how much will be about “taking the piss,” as Nicholas Hoult and other Brits would say.

To those just tuning in, Nicholas Hoult stars as a British music industry executive who seems to hate music but loves money and sex and power and cocaine and being cynical. The movie is based on the James Nivens novel of the same name, which I haven’t read, so I can’t tell you if the title is literal or metaphorical, and I don’t want to spoil the movie, so I’m not going to read the synopsis on Wikipedia, (but you can!). One thing is clear: Nicholas Hoult is going to hold on to his job, no matter what it takes — and he knows than someone on his team will eventually be fired.  (Personally I think it should be the dancing bear guy.)

Kill Your Friends opens on November 6. We’ll be there.
