Watch Cersei Seize The Iron Throne in Badass New ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Trailer

Sh*t is about to get REAL.

Fans of Game of Thrones may feel like the summer premiere of season 7 is a long way off and this new teaser trailer will not help. Appropriately enough it’s titled “The Long Walk” and simple, even literal but powerful. 

To James’ 1990 hit “Sit Down” we simply watch Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady), Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) walking at a stately pace toward their respective thrones. Cersei takes the Iron Throne, Jon commands Winterfell, and the Mother of Dragons is probably atop the Dragonstone.

The twist comes as the last camera shot reveals the eerie deep blue eyes of the Night King. It looks like the threat from the White Walkers might be coming to a head in this shorter seven-episode season. 

Of course we already know that a major character will die and Cersei may have a new suitor due to leaks from various excited cast members, but in a show as complex as Thrones those are barely spoilers at all.

How all these things fit together will finally be revealed when the show returns to HBO on July 16.
